History
Tentara is an established consulting and management firm, specializing in the concept, creation, construction and management of golf and residential communities from the ground up. Tentara takes your new or existing golf/residential communities to a level of success in terms of the planning, development, construction, revenue and sales goals.
Tentara was organized in 2005 by Philip Jones, after successfully operating under PJ Management, LLC since 1999. Tentara is the parent company of the two entities responsible for reviving a struggling Governors Club in Brentwood, Tennessee. In just four short years, The Governors Club became the premiere private golf and residential community in Williamson County, the nation’s 9th richest county, just south of Nashville, Tennessee.
The firm has purposely stayed small so that the principals could maintain a close personal involvement with all the projects. The staff includes people experienced in development, consulting, brokerage, management, construction, leasing, financing and equity sale.
To preserve flexibility and control, Tentara partners with established companies in the fields of architecture, site planning, residential sales, golf membership sales, interior design and graphic design that best fit the particular characteristics of each project.
On some projects, Tentara maintains an active management role and, in some cases, an ownership interest in a project. The main scope of work is consulting with project owners and implementing a proven path of project completion. The company is committed to providing services to clients that exceed expectations by going above and beyond the norm. The foundation of its success is built on developing excellent relationships with clients while providing quality work from the first ground plan to the last membership or lot sold.
